SELF-EMPOWERED HEALTH QIGONG/TAI CHI is an organization devoted to "empowering people to heal themselves" through teaching as simply as possible the powerful health enhancement practices of Qigong and Tai Chi.
This is the whole mission of Self-Empowered Health Qigong/TaiChi. We want to equip people with easy to learn, simple, and non-esoteric exercises they can do anywhere and anytime that will move them towards more abundant health.
Simplicity in what we do and how we teach is our hallmark. Empowering our clients with knowledge and tools so they can be proactive in their own health enhancement is our mission.
Our approach to the practice and teaching of Qigong and Tai Chi are to emphasize the principles, rather than devotion to one particular lineage or school of Qigong.
Our desire is to make Qigong and Therapeutic Tai Chi ("non-martial" Tai Chi focused upon health enhancement) as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. We do this by teaching the physical and mental principles of Qigong and Tai Chi in a non-esoteric manner. We avoid excess emphasis upon complex terminology or philosophy. We strongly emphasize safety for all our students.
Our goal is to reach out to as many individuals and organizations in our community as we can, so we can empower them with these simple health enhancement tools of Qigong and Tai Chi.
As healthcare costs skyrocket and adequate healthcare becomes out of reach for many, it is critical that these time-tested complimentary medicine tools be made available for as wide of a segment of our society as possible. We hope to be able to equip people with tools to be more proactive in their own healthcare. Our desire is to serve the community at large; individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, and institutions of any kind.
We strongly hold to a policy of non-discrimination: We hope to serve all segments of the community regardless of color, ethnic or national origins, religious or philosophical creeds, political affiliations, sexual orientations, etc.
We see ourselves as part of a larger global community and hope to benefit all people by sharing these wonderful Asian mind-body health exercises. We hope to be able to play a small part in unlocking for the world this cultural treasure that holds great power for improving peoples' health and well-being.
